ABOUT FRESH MANNAH

In 2020 during the height of the pandemic, I relocated to Central Florida. After visiting the region a year prior, I noticed the vast difference from 2019 to 2020. I witnessed families and individuals approaching vehicles at traffic stops seeking food and monetary assistance. My heart went out to the people. I knew I could find a way and the means to help them.

While engaging in many conversations with local people that were out of work and learning that children were going to bed hungry, the Lord impressed upon me to move and make a difference in this area. At that moment, I decided that I was going to continue the community service I begun in New York which was to start a community food pantry. As a result, Fresh Mannah Food Pantry was birthed.

Fresh Mannah is currently a mobile food pantry that focuses and caters to the needs of the people in the Central Florida region. We incorporate volunteer and community services.

The pantry was established to assist individuals and families with healthy meals and to educate and instill within families nutritional values and healthy food preparation. Our goal is to bridge the gap for those who lack nutritional meals. Our mission is to reduce the increasing rates in obesity, hypertension, diabetes and other ailments resulting from poor food selections.

Fresh Mannah is a safe haven for those who are hungry and need not be ashamed to seek help. We foster trust, security, support, encouragement and respect.

When the Israelites saw it , they said to one another, “ What is it ?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “ This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat.

Exodus 16:15

The house of Israel called the bread MANNA; it was like coriander seed, white, and it taste like flat pastry ( wafer ) made with honey.
